Covered Patio Floor Gets Wet

This started only a few weeks ago and the spot dries up within a day.

Covered patio floor gets wet.

I have not found a solution either. When tiles are not installed properly increased water levels from summer rains can seep upward to the tiles surface. It does this whether there is any wind or not so it has to be something in the concrete causing it. My porch is soaking wet almost like it rained on the porch with no covering at all.

When the air vapor cools down and matches the floor temperature condensation forms on the concrete this is also known as concrete sweating. Laughing we get some 45 degree days quite a few in a row and then all of a sudden we get a south wind and it s about 75 degrees and about 80 percent humidity. It just sweats to the point where it s this is a covered concrete porch. Stone brick concrete and ceramic patio tiles sometimes have a common problem during the hot humid months of summer.

The back porch is where my washer and dryer reside and it also gets wet but doesn t get quite as much sun and takes forever to dry. And it s like the outside of a glass of cold water. I am trying to figure out the source of a wet spot that forms on my covered front porch right next to the outside wall of my home pretty much every time it is raining. When smooth slabs of concrete are wet it poses additional safety concerns for workers.

I have the same problem with a covered concrete porch each time it rains. Safety is a top concern for all businesses. The wall feels dry. Water it not dripping down from above.
