Let your mat soak in warm water for 10 minutes then remove. Cricut remends not scraping as it may bury the debris into your mat making them harder to remove. Use a plastic hard bristled brush to gently scrub the mat in a circular motion. For deep cleaning you can always use a washcloth with soapy water.

In order to keep your mat sticky for as long as possible it s a good idea to clean it regularly. Allow the mat to soak for around 5 to 10 minutes before taking it out. You may also place the water in a nearby bowl. Give your mat a light cleaning when it loses some of its stickiness.

Without really thinking about it i would want to grab a wet wipe and scrub the mat off. This should loosen most of the dirt and build up off the mat. Once your fabricgrip cricut mat has lots of fibers and fabric strings on it it may not hold the fabric as well as it originally did. First scrape it off with a plastic scraper either cricut brand or any other type of hard plastic scraper.

Here is a very simple and cheap way to clean a cricut cutting mat. Run the mat under lukewarm water. If there s still stuff stuck on it after that you may need to use a more heavy duty product that can dissolve any material bits seemingly stuck to the mat. If your cricut mat has truly seen better days it might be time for a bath in some soap and water.

If there is stuff that won t come off then employ a small brush and rinse with warm water. Then wipe an alcohol free baby wipe or roll a lint roller over the surface. Once in a while you will want to give your cricut mat a bath using a container that s filled with soapy water. That s what i do with my other cricut mats but that is not what you want to do with the fabricgrip mat.
